Milwaukee Show

A scale auto, hobby and toy swap meet will be held on March 19, 2000. The location of the event is Serb Hall at 5101 W. Oklahoma in Milwaukee, Wis. The hours of the show is 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is $5.00. Also available is a preview admission at 7:30 AM for $20.00. Spring Hoosier Swap Meet

Once again, the Marion County Fairgrounds at 7300 E. Troy Avenue (near 1-74 East & 1-465) in Indianapolis will host the Spring Hoosier Swap Meet. The show has plenty of memorabilia of all sorts including auto racing. The dates this year are Friday May 19th 7 am -7 pm and Saturday May 20th 7 am -5 pm. The Day Before The 500 Show

The 22nd annual National Auto Racing Memorabilia show will take place this year on May 26 and 27. As in prior years the show will take place at the Indiana Convention Center. Show hours will be 3pm - 8pm on Friday and 9am - 4pm on Saturday.

Formula 1 Memorabilia Show

The first Grand Prix of Motorsports memorabilia show will be held on September 22 and 23, 2000. The show will take place at The Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. For more information you may call Ken Breslauer at 727-895-3482.

Indianapolis Legends Selected

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has named five drivers and a car owner as this years Legends of the Speedway. Those selected are Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi, Duke Nalon, Rick Mears, Joe Leonard and Andy Granatelli. Each will be honored in separate ceremonies May 14 through 19 at the Speedway.

Hometown Heroes

On Saturday February 26 the second annual Hometown Heroes event took place at the National Guard Armory in Columbus, Indiana.
In 1999 former local racers Jerry Castor and Dave Norris organized an Old Timers Reunion. It was intended as a onetime nostalgia celebration of the two short tracks that operated in the area from the 1930's through the 1970's. More than 250 people attended and a great time was had by all, so it was decided to do it again.
