3 Day Collectors Show Will be At State Fairgrounds
The 27th Annual National Auto Racing Memorabilia Show will be held on Thursday, May 26; Friday May 27 and Saturday May 28 at The Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis (38th and Fall Creek Parkway). The Show will be held in the Pioneer Our Land Pavilion.
The long-running show is a fixture in the list of traditional events associated with the running of The Indianapolis 500, which will take place this year on May 29. Collectors and race aficionados can find the whole history of auto racing under one roof. Whether you are looking for museum-quality merchandise; crew-used apparel including shirts, firesuits, car parts and helmets; race programs; photos from all eras; tickets, pins; posters; diecast replicas; Clymer publications; race films and dvd's; Carousel; Speedway bricks; pit badges; books; magazines; credentials; racing souvenirs; car body parts; trading cards; flags; beer signs; race toys; ceramics; autographs; advertising pieces; GMP; artwork and so much more presented by dealers from across the country and around the world.
There will be race driven cars on display as well as some choice vintage autos from Kruse International, the corporate sponsor of the event.
HOURS-Thursday, 4:00-8:00; Friday, 2:00-7:00 and Saturday from 9:30-4:30. Thursday admission is $10; Friday and Saturday is $7. Young persons from ages 7-14 are $3 each day.

Foyt, Jim Rathmann, Rodger Ward, Parnelli Jones, Mark Donohue, Jackie Stewart, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Tony Hulman, Eddie Rickenbacker, Barney Oldfield, Lou Meyer, Tommy Milton, Roger Penske, Johnny Rutherford, Helio Castroneves, The Brickyard, Linda Vaughn, Tom Sneva, Eddie Sachs, Wilbur Shaw, Gil deFerran, Jimmy Clark, Graham Hill, Jaques Villenueve, Gaston Chevrolet, Corvette pace cars, pedal cars, Bobby Rahal and Sarah Fisher.
Autograph guests currently include: Mario Andretti (Saturday morning), Janet Guthrie (Friday afternoon), Andy Granatelli (Saturday afternoon), Mel Kenyon (Friday and Saturday). Current IRL Drivers are also being scheduled. There will be 2-4 more guests added in the next few weeks. Ms. Guthrie will be signing her just-off-the-press book "A Life At Full Throttle." Up-to-date info can be reviewed on the Show website http://www.usamfg.net/narm/2005index.htm Also, look for details on how you can ride, at speed, in a two seat sprint car, driven by a well-known driver, on the State Fair track on Thursday and Saturday. (Proceeds to charity.) Convenient parking is readily available. The 54th running of the famous Hoosier Hundred takes place at the Fairgrounds on Friday evening with the green flag at 8:00.
