Club Notes
by Larry Ireland
Hello again. I hope everyone enjoyed shoveling snow as much as I did over the Winter. I’m sure
glad that’s behind us.
It’s Spring time and that means Indy time and I’m ready to head west on I-70 to my home
away from home. Have a great month of May and I’ll see you at the track.
Congratulations to Scott Dixon (Homestead), Tony Kanaan (Phoenix) and Scott Sharp
(Motegi) on their Indy Racing League victories this Spring.

Best Wishes for Quick Returns To:
Gil de Ferran, Tony Kanaan, Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti. De Ferren was injured in a
crash involving Michael Andretti at Phoenix March 23. Kanaan and Dixon crashed battling for
the lead at Twin Rings Motegi, Japan and Franchitti broke his back in a motorcycle accident
in Europe.
Franchitti and Kanaan will most likely miss this years 500 while Dixon and de Ferren
should recover in time to qualify for this years race. We wish them all the best and look
for a quick return to competition.
Best wishes to driver Jason Priestly for a complete and speedy recovery. Jason received
severe injuries last August in a practice session accident at Kentucky Speedway. Jason was
competing in the Infiniti Pro Series and had hoped to move up to the Indy Racing League in
the future.
