Hoosier 100 on F1 Weekend

by Greg Littleton

A.J. Foyt's Hulman 100 (it'll always be the Hoosier Hundred to me) was rained out on the Friday night before the Indianapolis 500. It was re-scheduled for Friday night September 22 in an attempt to accommodate some of the people who travel to Indy for The 500 that may just be in town again for the Formula I race. Gates to the Indiana State Fairgrounds open at 4:30, qualifications at 6:00 PM and the Consy at 7:00 PM. You don't want to miss the Consy. Those guys are serious about making the feature event and really put on a show. Maybe you know some F-l fan who has never seen Champ Dirt Cars on a mile oval. It's just as good as it always was and thanks to Tony George there are Indy 500 drivers who participate. The cars cost a little less than the Formula One Tech-mobiles but if you have never seen a real old fashioned Champ Car race, you're in for a thrill. Great seats for $25.
