Congratulations to the 2000 Indy Racing League champion Buddy Lazier which includes his exciting win at the new Kentucky Motor Speedway. Also, congratulations are in order for Scott Goodyear for winning the IRNLS events at Texas Motor Speedway in October.

Milwaukee Show

The next scale auto, hobby and toy swap meet will be held on January 21, 2001. The location of the event is Serb Hall at 5101 W. Oklahoma in Milwaukee, Wis. The hours of the show is 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is $5.00. Also available is a preview admission at 7:30 AM for $20.00. Hoosier Auto Show

The 34th annual Automotive Literature and Collectible Exchange is scheduled to be held on January 20 and 21, 2001. The show will take place at the Brickyard Crossing Inn. The hours of the event are 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Sunday.
The show features auto and transportation related literature such as automobile catalogs and manuals, toy cars, models and racing memorabilia. Admission to the show is $1.00. Bench Racing Weekend

The 6th Annual Bench Racing Weekend hosted by Duke Nalon, Junior Dreyer and Jack Martin will take place on March 30 and 31, 2001. This year's event will be held at the Holiday Inn Select North. It is located in Indianapolis at I-465 and Michigan Road. Activities will begin on Friday at 4:00 PM with an informal gathering in the hotel lobby and the Bench Racing Hospitality Room to socialize with friends of auto racing. The festivities continue with a grand tour of nearby auto racing shops on Saturday morning. Beginning at Noon the hotel meeting rooms will be open for an exhibit of race cars, photographs, memorabilia, racing films and time to just sit, visit and “Bench Race” the sport of auto racing. A social hour, dinner and guest speaker Jim Phillipi will be featured Saturday evening. Dinner tickets are $35. The Holiday Inn Select is offering a special daily room rate of $85 plus tax for the event.
